About
the Club
The Yavapai Digital Art and Foto Club (YDAFC) was founded in 2007
by three artist/photographers who saw the need for an organization
where individuals interested in expanding their knowledge of digital
art and photography could come together.
Each meeting features a show of photos submitted by members of a pre-arranged
subject matter, an educational program or workshop, a question and
answer session, and an opportunity to socialize and network with like-minded
individuals interested in digital art and photography. YDAFC organizes
various field trips, photo shoots and photography-related activities
to encourage interaction between members, and to facilitate development
of their skills. At these outings and activities, members explore
various aspects of photography. Digital art techniques are also explored
such as color correction, sharpness, lighting and artistic filtering
effects.
Membership dues are $15 per year (no prorating) and payable at the
second meeting attended. YDAFC publishes member biographies, link
to member’s personal website (if applicable), image of the individual
member and one image of work on YDAFC’s website.
Meetings will be scheduled on a Tuesday of each month, check our club
calendar for dates and times.
Testimonials from our Club Members
"I really enjoyed the meeting last night (my first) and look
forward to the
fun of all this. Thank you for going to the effort of starting this
club."
"For what it's worth. I think you and your group are doing a
great job and going slowly is good. As a photographer I approach my
work from that stand point and try to minimize the use of Photoshop
for correction, but having the viewpoint of graphic artists, I've
already have gained some ideas to become more creative. Your club
is a long waited addition to this area."
"First let me say that I like what you are doing with the club
and I think
if we are patient and allow it to evolve it will be even better. We
certainly have the power of people with the membership."
