I
have owned cameras and taken pictures for as long as I can remember.
One day, many years ago, while snowmobiling with friends I took
a picture of a tree in an undisturbed snow bank with the sun flaring
behind the tree. When I got my prints back from processing I realized
this one was different, it was not a 'snapshot’. I have
been in pursuit of good photographs ever since. |
I
am strictly an amateur photographer. I am on a continuous quest
to learn and to improve my photography. Capturing what I 'see’
is what it is all about for me. I have finally given up my film
cameras and now shoot digital exclusively. I have taken both Beginning
and Intermediate Photoshop classes at Yavapai College as well
as Beginning and Intermediate Digital Photography.
In October 2004, my husband and I moved to Prescott from the Pacific
Northwest. We came for the wonderful climate. Being newly married
and newly retired we both wanted to be able to spend more time
outdoors. Even though we miss our children and grandchildren and
the extraordinary beauty of the northwest, we have never regretted
our decision to move here. We have come to truly appreciate the
unique beauty of the southwest. |
