I
am a folk musician by trade as one half of the harp and guitar
duo, D-Squared. I had a career in fine art as a sculptor for 15
years and now find myself exploring the world of digital photography.
Though I am quite new to digital photography, I love experimenting
with alternative methods, including pinhole photography and photo
manipulation on the computer. I am particularly drawn to subjects
that have a surreal quality to them or are not immediately recognizable.

Some
of my photo collages are like dreamscapes. Sometimes nightmarish,
they are visual manifestations of the feelings that lurk in the
dark corners of the psyche.
I am also drawn to macro detailing and to images that trick the
eye. I spend an awful lot of time shooting piles of junk (literally!)
to find the unexpected details and surprise images that emerge
when least expected. |
