Priscilla
Tacheney, a talented Arizona native and member of the Navajo (Diné)
Nation, has always found ways to express herself through her artwork.
Other than her talents in photography, Priscilla has expressed
her creativity in pencil art drawing and has won an award for
her fine art illustrations. She has lived on the Navajo reservation
for more than 12 years, and attributes her lifelong love of fine
art and photography to the early influence of her father. |
For
over 20 years, photography has been a major interest to Priscilla,
up until the last year it has become a passion. Priscilla experienced
a renewed enthusiasm and appreciation for photography after taking
a digital photography course at the local college and soon concentrated
on documenting her own personal experiences, capturing scenery
and events as she sees them and share with others the beauty and
diversity of her world. Priscilla views the art of photography
as a documentation of what is happening at the moment. Her ongoing
pursuit is to capture the one moment in time where everything
seems extraordinary and unique.
Her current work includes graphic design, web design and digital
photography. Priscilla has been awarded for her graphic design
and photography work. She loves to travel and photograph what
she sees as distinctive or artistic. She resides in Prescott Valley,
Arizona, and has lived there more than 9 years. |
